Hi Friends! Welcome to another edition of WIAW thanks to Jenn and Laura. I hope you all had a great weekend. I was off work on Friday and ended up spending the whole day mailing off documents for a nursing license renewal process. I felt like I was googling addresses, fees, writing checks, and addressing envelopes all day. I even ended up having to make a return trip to the post office to mail off a few stragglers I forgot. I had initially planned to make a morning trip up to the Cleveland area but the forecast changed to heavy rain and unfortunately since the boot isn’t rain friendly I stayed home and dry indoors. I binge watched the new Netflix series Ozark staring Jason Bateman. It was well reviewed and I liked it. Warning though…I would definitely rate it as R though as an FYI.
Breakfast as per usual. I had a new container of Vital Proteins collagen arrive just in time as I used the last of my current stash this morning
I spent the morning googling Instant Pot info. I saw they now have a 3 quart model available for $70 on Amazon. I have looked at Instant Pot before but found it was little large. I’m contemplating getting this smaller one. Wondering though if they are really worth it or just hype.
Costco has they organic sale on now which means they put organic things in what I call ‘Organic Alley’. I can usually make a quick and efficient trip in and out but having to search whether something I am looking for is not on the usual spot and instead on the promo spotlight cluster throws off my routine! I did see these new crackers by Doctor Kracker. I have seen them at Whole Foods but never tried them. The box was on sale for only $6. Verdict is they are really good! I had one as soon as I got home.
For lunch I ate some more of the crackers with grainy mustard, avocado, and turkey. I am working my way through the container of Vital Proteins bone broth. I can definitely say that I will not be buying it again. Not a fan and just using it up instead of tossing it
For dinner I cooked up a turkey burger that I got at Costco. I had finished the last of the Applegate ones and these were much cheaper so I thought I’d try them out.
Having quick meals to throw together are a definite plus lately for my schedule. I had a spinach salad on the side but it didn’t agree with me. I think the spinach was the issue unfortunately 🙁
I ended the day with a chocolate and a mango bar and some strawberries.
I also had a spoonful of Manuka Honey. It is supposed to aid in bone healing and I’m trying anything I can.
Hope you are all having a great Wednesday and are taking some time to relax and enjoy the summer. Can’t believe July is almost over!
Do you have an Instant Pot? Yay or Nay?
