Good morning WIAW friends! Thanks for stopping by from Laura’s site for the weekly chat. I continued my minimal activity here and have been resting my foot a lot. I saw the ortho doc on Monday and the foot shows to be healing which is a relief. It is obviously in the early stage but glad that it is at least showing improvement in the bone.
I’ve been having this Green Valley organic yogurt at breakfast. I like the plain and have had the smaller containers but found that the flavored ones contain a super sweet syrup/fruit sauce in the bottom. Why do yogurt companies think that yogurts need the super sweet sauce??? I’ve ordered a new batch of Go Macro sunflower butter and peanut butter bars as I’ve been having a half in the morning so I don’t have to bother cleaning my mouth and the Invisalign mid morning.
I came home from the doc and had a quick lunch before heading out to another appointment. I had another mug of the Vital Protein bone broth. While I’m still not sure I’d buy it or recommend it I did add a bit more of of the powder and it did taste a bit better.
I got home later than planned from the appointment and was hurraying to get dinner done and doing a quick load of laundry. My current apartment doesn’t have in suite machines so I have to walk outside and over to the other complex. Not super convenient for sure at the moment 🙁 In between lugging the basket over I snacked on these new to me chips. I ordered another batch of the Fody Foods salsa as chips and salsa have been a daily snack lately!
After the laundry was done I threw spinach in a bowl and topped with tomato
I boiled a couple of hot dogs for dinner. I had an odd craving for a hot dog and read about Wellshire Farms which makes allergen friendly items. They happened to be on sale at Whole Foods and I got a pack of the chicken and turkey ones to try. I boiled up one of each. They were really good. I will definitely buy again and will be great to have on hand for BBQ or when the craving hits and you need a quick meal. Summer and hot dogs seem to fit together!
I diced it up and topped it on some pasta with some nutritional yeast and sirracha. I thought after that I should have added some ketchup instead but was too lazy to get up and get it
Lastly I finished off the last of the snickerdoodle Nada Moo ice cream in the freezer and had a bowl of Cascadian Farms version of Cheerios.
Hope you are all having a great week and are enjoying summer!
Happy Wednesday 🙂
