Hi Friends! Hope you are all having a great week so far. I had a busy week last week and had a bunch of errands to do after work almost every day. I definitely needed a few days to relax this weekend but ended up having more running around to do. I need a vacation and some R&R soon! Unfortunately that isn’t on the agenda so I am hopefully the craziness with subside soon. Until then I have a look at my meals from Saturday as part of the WIAW fun. Thanks Arman for hosting this week.
I was completely out of oranges this morning. I’ve been buying a box of navel oranges at Costco that last me a few weeks and took my last one to work yesterday for lunch. I subbed it for a small bowl of cold watermelon. Oatmeal cooked in almond milk along side.
I spent the morning taking the train to Trader Joe’s for a few essentials and then coming home and driving to a few more places I needed to get to. I made it home a bit later than planned and only had 20 minutes before I needed to leave for an appointment. I quickly boiled some Kite Hill vegan ravioli and washed a handful of cherry tomatoes. The ravioli cooked in like 4 minutes. Perfect fast meal.
As soon I finished I headed back out the door. I live right across from the train station so I quickly caught my train and made it to my appointment. I’ve been having battery issues with my Macbook for a few months. I took it into the mail Apple store in Boston in May and they said the battery needed to be replaced. It was a cheap ($140 fix) but would need to be sent away and I’d be without the computer for a week. I put it off as I just didn’t want to be without it for that long and figured I would make do. Lately the trackpad was acting up and I read that can be due to old batteries expanding within when they need replacing. I decided I just needed to bite the bullet and take it in to get fixed. I went to a different Apple store due to appointment availability (The Cambridge store if you are a local) and the tech said the battery was likely the cause and they do the repair in their store. In a few hours I could come back and pick it up. I was surprised and immediately handed it over. Definitely a lesson in checking with other stores in your area to see if they repair in store or not.
I left and did some more errands and returned a little early so I sat and read a book at the nearby Starbucks with a cold passionfruit iced tea. Although I really needed to spend time looking at possible jobs for next month and where I’ll move to I decided to take some time and just read.
I arrived home later in the afternoon and broiled a chicken breast for dinner. I microwaved some frozen rice and topped it with hot sauce.
Bell pepper on the side as well. I’ve been having a pepper a night lately with dinner. So crunchy and juicy
Continuing my nightly trend lately of some frozen strawberries and a frozen fruit bar
Hope you have a great weekend and you’re life is less busy than mine lately!
