Good Wednesday and happy WIAW friends. I am joining Laura and friends with a short post from my Sunday meals. It was a cold (like 50s) and rainy and gray weekend here. I stayed close to home and abandoned any outdoor activities. I’m writing this after getting home from work on Tuesday evening so let’s get right to the food…
On Saturday I picked up a new watermelon at Costco and had some cold chopped melon with my oatmeal at breakfast for a change
Bowl of cereal was my mid morning snack while reading on the couch. Got a couple of books from my list of summer reading done this weekend. I’m thinking of sharing some of my recent fiction reads…would you be interested in that post?
A little more watermelon at lunch. I’m playing with some foods lately as I’ve mentioned and a bit of watermelon seems to be tolerated by my stomach a few times a week. I had a piece to toast with PB and one with lots of jam along side the melon.
A cut up bell pepper while dinner was cooking
I cut up some refrigerated beets that were on sale at Costco last week. I drizzled on some french dressing and let it sit for a few minutes. It was quite good and effortless and mess free!
Chopped chicken breast with potato, hot sauce, and nutritional yeast. I used up the last of the bag of potatoes in the cupboard with this meal.
After dinner I had a standby with Mango fruit bar and a couple fig cookies while watching The Hunt on BBC. Have you seen it? It is fantastic and similar to the series Planet Earth a few years ago. The filming of the animals in their natural habitat is amazing. I highly recommend if you like that kind of thing.
That’s it for this week and the short post. I’m off to quickly eat dinner and get ready for my day tomorrow! Don’t forget to check out everyone else’s recent meals.
